Video Player Privacy Policy

What we do not collect

There is no account to create. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other information that directly identifies you.

The contents of the files you open are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.

Stored on your device only

The items below are written to your device storage and are never transmitted elsewhere. Deleting the app removes them.

• Watch history and the position you last stopped at
• Streaming addresses you added, along with any authentication headers
• Playback preferences such as subtitles, speed and aspect ratio
• Theme and language settings

File access

The app uses the file access permissions provided by your operating system in order to open files. Anything it reads is used solely to display it to you.

• The video files you play and the subtitle files used with them
• On Android this uses storage permissions; on iOS it goes through the system file picker
• Files you have not selected are never read

Streaming addresses

When you play a video from an address you added, the app connects directly to that server. The request may include the authentication headers you specified.

What that server records is governed by its own operator’s policy. We neither relay nor store this traffic.

Analytics and crash reports

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google, to understand problems and improve the app. The following is collected in a form that does not identify you personally.

• Device model, OS version, app version, country and language settings
• Anonymous events such as screen views and whether a feature was used
• Error details and where they occurred when the app crashes

Advertising

The app may display advertisements. Ad providers may use information such as your device advertising identifier to show relevant ads; this is governed by their own privacy policies.

You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings — on iOS under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, and on Android under Settings › Privacy › Ads.

Retention and deletion

We do not keep your files or usage records on any server we operate.

Records stored on your device are removed when you delete the item in the app or uninstall the app.

Analytics and crash data are handled under Google’s retention policy and are deleted automatically after at most 14 months.

Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version and its date will be posted on this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the app update notes.
